Sizzzzzle in Redding --especially tomorrow when it will be 110!!!! Almost as bad as being in the desert --except that I can run the swamp cooler at our house!!!
Update on our camping trip--we will leave out the 19th of July and the Stices from AZ will meet us on the 20th and camp with us for 2 wks. They are in Reno now visiting with some old friends from Ok, so Jer and I decided to ask them to join us for 2 wks at Hat Creek. Anne wanted to camp in the area when she was here in May but it didn't work out. So, now she will get her wish.
And we will be able to visit again. Then, only be about 2 months, and we will see them in QZ.
It will be nice for us to get away for 2 wks also as have done a lot of work around this house since getting back from AZ in Feb. I must say that Jer has done the brunt of the outside work and has done an excellent job. The yards look so good now and the flowers are all blooming. Even getting some produce already from the veggie garden. Planted 8 oleander bushes last Thrus. --finally--have talked about planting a row of them out in front of the veggie garden for a few yrs now and never "got it done"!
So, the 4th of July is over til next summer and everyone will be returning to their regular routine. Wasn't much of a holiday weekend here esp. with all the celebratory activities cancelled.
Apparently, the Freedom Festival and fireworks will be rescheduled for the Labor Day weekend.
See how much interest that generates.
