Sunday Morn

Beginning of another week and hope it is a sunny, warm one for everyone. Our family members in the Mid-West sure DON'T need any more rain for awhile and hopefully the flood waters will recede and the golfers can get back on the golf course real soon. Redding had lightening, thunder and rain most of the day, Saturday, which is very unusual for this time of yr. Today looks back to normal--sunny and hot.

Our g/d, Jennifer, drove! up to our house Fri. evening and spent the night--seemed weird that she drove up here by herself!!!! (She just got her license about a wk ago!) We had a good time. She left around 10am Sat. because she was going to play golf with a few friends but that was cancelled out--no golfers were allowed out on the course due to the stormy weather. So, guess today, she and her family will play golf at 9am.

Last night we watched Sarah (Jen's sister) dance in her annual dance revue. She was just great. Has advanced so much in her tap and jazz dancing this past yr. so it was fun to watch her "kickin up her heels"! Now, she will have a break until Sept. to pursue other interests this summer. We also saw Cara, another g/d, dance in the afternoon in "Peter Pan"--she did a jazz number and was very good, considering she just began jazz this yr.

Jer and I just plugging along here doing all the normal household stuff! Jer has developed a reputation around the neighborhood as the lawn mower repair man and I think he has repaired about 8 now, inc. his own. He is also creating a wooden napkin, salt/pepper holder for me --by
doing scroll work. It will be so neat especially since it has lots of hearts on it.

Today Jer is doing the prep work for a colonoscopy Mon. morning. Just pure liquids today and he is not enjoying that prospect --he likes his solid food!!!~~~~~~ Will be glad when the procedure is over and done with late Mon. morning and he can eat and get back to normal. After all, he needs to start getting ready for our camping trip and fix the latest lawn mower--HA Good thing the test is done via the VA and doesn't cost us a penny!!!

Also, July 2-11th, we will be going on an RV outing to the Hat Creek area in celebration of our 19th anniversary!!!!! Should be great fun and a welcome break from all the work here for Jer. The best thing is that we will be able to do some quad riding again which we are looking forward to very much. But, doubt if we will have phone or internet service at our camp site so that is one disadvantage, but maybe be good to have an internet break also!!!

Guess, that is our news for the day and hope you all have a great one.
